How to activate TPMS sensors?

Activating a sensor triggers it to transmit tire pressure, temperature, sensor ID, and battery status to the vehicle. Autel’s TPMS tools can activate sensors and display the relevant tire and sensor information.

OEM sensors can be activated using the following methods:
1. An Autel TPMS tool.
2. Rapid inflation or deflation of the tire (by 5 PSI or 20 kPa within 10 seconds).
3. For OEM sensors on vehicles from 2003 and earlier, placing a magnet over the sensor valve stem may activate them.

All Autel MX-Sensors support these activation methods.
